Filippo Zamboni, grass skiing and skiroll talent
No matter what, winter or summer, snow or grass, what is important is to put skis on. This is better described by Filippo Zamboni, born in 2001, from Coltura (municipality of Tre Ville). He is a ski instructor and mountain guide since 2021, and has been an athlete since the age of 6.
In 2015 he became an athlete supervised by the Trentino Committee and in summer 2016 he took part in all the Green Talent and Fis Children competitions in Europe, achieving excellent results.
In 2016 he participated to all the qualifying races on the calendar in Italy and abroad; at the end of the 2016 season, he was 1st classified in the Green Talent (former Italian Cup) and 6th classified Fis Children U16 Europe.
In 2017 Filippo was called up by the National Grass Ski Team, with which he partecipated in the World Cup, Fis Junior Cup and Junior World Championship.
In 2018, he reached the second place in the overall Junior World Cup rankings and at the 2018 Italian Championships (absolute and Junior) he won five gold medals.
In 2019 he won a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships, in the super G speciality.
By winter 2019, he also joined the national Team for the Ski Cross discipline, with his best result reaching the 4th place in Reiteralm-Austria in the European Cup Races and obtaining the top 10 for four times at FIS Races (two times in Austria and two times in Italy).
During the 2021/2022 season at the World Junior Grass Ski Championships, he achieved two first places in the Special Slalom and Super Combined, winning the title of World Junior Champion.
In 2021, he won the second place in the Overall World Cup and at the World Championships in the Czech Republic; also in 2021, he became World Junior Slalom Special Champion, a position he reconfirmed in 2022.
