Cultural experience at dawn, discovering the traditions and trades of the past: the transformation of wood into coal.
This experience allows you to learn about the local history of the village of Bondone and discover how coal was produced in the mountain valleys. A centuries-long tradition, still kept alive today by its charcoal burners. You will be able to experience the moment of lighting the 'poiot' which, as it burns, will give life to the coal. Afterwards, you can enjoy a rich breakfast based on typical products and take a walk to discover one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
PROGRAMME:
4.00am: meeting with charcoal burners Dario and Mansueto for the start of the activity.
To follow: lighting of the "poiot" with the charcoal burners, rich breakfast with typical products and guided walk to discover the village of Bondone.
PRICE:
€ 20.00 per person (€ 10.00 up to 8 years old and free up to 3 years old).

The experience lasts approximately 4 hours. The programme may be subject to change due to organisational requirements.
Bookings close on 19 April at 17.00 or when the maximum number of participants has been reached. The experience can be booked online or at the Tourist Board information offices.
The initiative will take place with a minimum number of 1 participant.
Comfortable, warm sports clothing is recommended, and a torch should be brought along as the lighting in the area is reduced.

From the hamlet of Baitoni continue towards Bondone on the provincial road. Near the village of Bondone, staying on the SP 69, turn right into Via Calva.
