Madonna di Campiglio, was Princess Sissi's summer retreat. Here, far from court life, she found peace and serenity in nature. Every year, Emperor Franz Joseph's birthday was celebrated with great festivities, turning the place into a lively centre of cultural and social activities. Sissi loved walking along the mountain paths, finding inspiration in the landscape. Today, the memory of those times is still alive in Madonna di Campiglio.

5.30 p.m. - Piazza Lorenzetti: EMPEROR'S BIRTHDAY
The Habsburg Court arrives in the centre of Madonna di Campiglio to celebrate the emperor's birthday with music and dancing.
The parade of the Habsburg Court will start from Piazza Palù, and will continue along the Viale Dolomiti di Brenta towards Piazza Sissi, passing through Piazza Righi and Piazza Brenta Alta to end in Piazza Lorenzetti, where a show with the dancers of the Habsburg Court will take place. At the end of the event, refreshments will be offered to all participants. Event organised by the Madonna di Campiglio Pro loco in collaboration with Filo da la Val Rendena and the Arco 800 dancers.

5.30 p.m. - Sala della Cultura: CONFERENCE ‘I CONTI DEL PRIORE. LIFE OF THE SANTA MARIA DI CAMPIGLIO HOSPITAL AT THE END OF THE 15th CENTURY’.
Preview presentation of the manuscript currently preserved at the Municipal Library of Trento, the subject of the degree thesis of Dr. Elisa Rodler, who transcribed and commented on it in its entirety.
Speakers: Emanuele Curzel, Professor at the University of Trento Italo Franceschini, President of the Società di Studi Trentini di Scienze Storiche. Free admission.

8.45 a.m. - Brenta Dolomites: WALK WITH SISSI AND HER ALPINE GUIDES
Walk in the company of Empress Sissi, retracing the places she loved to visit during her stays in Madonna di Campiglio.
