Let’s hear from the people who experience these valleys every day. Those who were born there, work there, or returned there. They are the Ambassadors of La Via delle Valli, who tell the story of the soul of “their” valley. Walking through the valleys, Debora Rambaldini, a forest custodian, describes Val Nambrone as if it were home; Alfio Ghezzi, the chef returning to the mountains of his childhood, rediscovers nature, the muse of his cuisine in Val di Breguzzo; Francesca Amato, a philosopher and web content creator, climbs the steep slopes of Val Nardis; and Noris Cunaccia, whose natural “office” is in Val Nambino, forages from valley to valley in search of herbs. Val Nambrone as told by Debora, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. Debora, born in 1987, is from Carisolo - Val Rendena. She was the first woman in the Giudicarie area to become a forest custodian.

Val d'Amola
Val d’Amola as told by Manuel, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. Manuel, from Giustino in Trentino, is the president of the Associazione Nazionale Allevatori Bovini di Razza Rendena (National Association of Breeders of Rendena Cattle), and president of Allevatori Val Rendena, as well as managing the family farm where he is a cook.

Val Brenta as told by Piergiorgio, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. Piergiorgio, born in Madonna di Campiglio in 1969, comes from a family of well-known mountaineers who have lived there for generations.

Val de la Meda as told by Alessandro, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. A cheesemaker and highland cowherd at Malga Splaz, just above the small town of Borgo Lares, Alessandro was born in these valleys and has lived here all his life. Val de la Meda for him is peace and calm. Slowness.

Val di Trivena as told by Alfio, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. He calls himself a “cook and restaurateur”, but he is much more than that. For him, the environment inspires pure, direct thinking, which he then transfers into his culinary creations. The light, air and colours of the mountains are the ingredients of his dishes.

Val di Fumo as told by Antonella, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. For a sculptor who has lived in the small village of Praso for 35 years, Val di Fumo is water that flows and shapes, smooths and polishes. It is glacier and freedom.

Val Nambino as told by Noris, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. A nomadic gatherer of wild herbs, she has chosen to live and dedicate herself to the ancient art of foraging, a knowledge that runs through her veins like lifeblood.
Val dei Carboner
Val dei Carboner as told by Dario, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. He is one of the few remaining carboner, or charcoal burners, in the village. Until the mid-1970s, charcoal burning was the main occupation among the inhabitants of Bondone. Dario is proud of this, and it is a source of great pride for him to carry on the family tradition.

Val di Daone as told by Damiano, an ambassador of La Via delle Valli. Cheesemaker and alpine pasture manager at Malga Lavanech, 1,783 metres above sea level, Damiano likes to call himself “the gardener” of this Alpine paradise, where nothing is left to chance.
