Specific details about the Valle del Chiese cycle path
THE ROUTE
The starting point of the Valle del Chiese cycle path is the mouth of the River Chiese on the banks of Lake Idro (Baitoni).
From here, the route heads north along the banks of the river for around 20 km in the direction of the municipality of Pieve di Bono-Prezzo, passing through the municipality of Borgo Chiese and its traditional hamlets of Condino and Quartinago Cimego.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Although the path runs alongside the river, climbing up towards its source, there are no challenging rises and the change in altitude is almost imperceptible. It is particularly suitable for family outings and trips with children, as the entire route is safe with a paved surface.
It takes travellers through woods, meadows and fields of corn, over wooden bridges and pedestrian boardwalks nestled deep in the greenery, with the Brenta Dolomites as backdrop and the pleasant rushing sound of the river for company.
It makes an excellent starting point for an exploration of the marks left on the landscape by the Great War: covered walkways, trenches and forts.
BIKE HIRE For those who want to enjoy the route in a state of complete relaxation, there are several facilities for hiring e-bikes!
