A Night Suspended Between Sky and Rock: The Thrill of Vertical Camping!
Have you ever dreamed of sleeping suspended in mid-air, cradled only by the silence of the mountains and lit by an endless starry sky? This is your chance to experience a unique and unforgettable adventure: a night of vertical camping on a portaledge — the special “tent” used by climbers on big walls.
No need to be an expert climber: with the guidance of certified alpine guide Marco, you'll learn the basics of rope progression and spend the night on the cliff, surrounded by breathtaking views.
Your adventure begins in the afternoon at the Grostè cable car ticket office, where you'll receive your gear and safety briefing. After taking the cable car and a short hike, you'll reach the wall where you'll spend the night. Here, with the help of your alpine guide, you’ll learn rope techniques and discover the thrill of moving between rock and air.
Enjoy a dinner in a mountain hut, where you’ll taste the authentic flavors of the Alps before returning to your suspended tent. Nestled in your portaledge, you’ll fall asleep under a stunning canopy of stars, embraced by the silence of nature.
At dawn, the first rays of sunlight will light up the peaks of the Dolomites, giving you an unforgettable wake-up moment. After packing up, you'll climb back up the wall and descend to the valley.
An experience that leaves a mark — something to live at least once in a lifetime.
