On this day, the return of the cattle from the mountain pastures is celebrated. The traditional protagonists of the event are milk, cheese and of course the animals from the surrounding pastures. But the real protagonists are the children: the day has incredible experiences in store for them, from milking the cows to learning how cheese is made.
PROGRAMME:
8.30am: nature - cultural walk accompanied by expert guides. From Pieve di Bono (Piazzale ex Vela) passing by the "Castalana" square with the monument and the cannon, then continuing to the little church of the dead and reaching Boniprati. Estimated time 3 hours; difference in altitude 600 m; registration on site, maximum 25 participants.
10.00am: tasting and sale of typical products from the malga and the area. Educational farm with games and crafts for children in the company of the Associazione Quadrifoglio APS.
11.30am: cattle parade: cows, goats, donkeys and horses descend from the mountain pastures accompanied by the notes of the San Giorgio Band from Castel Condino, the Cimego Social Band, the Knödel Bergmusikanten group from Strembo and Antichi Valori from Pieve di Bono.
12.30pm: typical lunch with polenta carbonera, cabbage, malga cheese, dessert. For a fee (€15.00). Alternatively, "Pranzo del Contadino" (farmer's lunch) in the Lupi di Toscana di Boniprati and Baita Boniprati restaurants. A charge is made (€20.00).
2.00pm: show at the "malga dei popi" small herdsmen stage the traditional "caserada dei popi". Cow milking rehearsals for all the children.
2.30 pm: "Desmalgames", team games for young and old with the support of the Por Cultural Group. For a fee, registration on site.

During the event, it will be possible to visit the exhibition organised by the Amici della Pittura group.
Desmalgada takes care of the green: arrive at the Boniprati Plateau by shuttle bus!
Payment on site: adults €5.00, children under 12 free. Those arriving with their own car can only reach the Boniprati Plateau by Price.
Parents have a family corner at their disposal with a changing table for babies, bottle warmer and breastfeeding station.
Dogs are only allowed on a leash and are not allowed near the route so as not to disturb the animals in the parade.
