This sport originated from the desire of some paragliding pioneers to seek out the highest possible point on the mountains to launch themselves.
The ascent to the mountain and the subsequent descent by glider are the fundamental ingredients of the discipline.
During the weekend of 7 and 8 Julne 2025 (wind conditions will decide on which of the two days), a stage of the Hike & Fly Italian League circuit will be staged, which includes events in the top locations in Italy for paragliding. The launch is scheduled to take place at Alpo di Bondone with landing at Idroland Fly Zone, on the shores of Lake Idro.
This year's format will declare the winner who will cover the longest distance (flying and walking) returning to the starting point within 30 hours.
PROGRAMME:
8.30am: briefing Idroland Fly Zone.
10.00am: competition start.
5.00pm: event closing.
6.00pm: award ceremony.
