The military works of San Lorenzo and the church
THE CHURCHAt the top of the military complex built by the Italian army on the hill of San Lorenzo of Condino, there is an early 16th century church that miraculously preserves inside the frescoes of an important lieange of artists: the Baschenis.
MILITARY GARRISONIn 1915, a military garrison for the control of the territory developed around the building, articulated in trenches, barracks, connecting roads and underground structures.
From this garrison, a gunboat entirely excavated in the rock, located on the slope along the military road leading to the church, and a section of concrete-covered trenches, located near the church, have been restored and made visitable.
