A short distance from Madonna di Campiglio, where there are no cars nor ski slopes, is lake Nambino, a pearl amidst the woods, with the Brenta Dolomites behind and the refuge overlooking the water. Up here, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a fairy tale world to discover if indeed, as the legend goes, a dragon lies in the waters of this mountain lake. Children can play in the large meadow while their parents take a rest on the terrace. And if you decide to spend the night in one of the beautiful wood-panelled rooms, the Serafini family - who have run the refuge since 1933 - will have your luggage brought up by ropeway conveyor.
