Adamello - Presanella

Adamello Presanella title=

the Adamello-Presanella mountain range is the kingdom of ice and water. The Presanella mountains have 7 glaciers, while in the thirtieth part of Adamello there are 17, including the Mandrone glacier, the largest in the Italian Alps.

Its mountains are formed mostly by tonalite (a very hard and compact rock similar to granite) that was formed by magma that rose through the earth's crust and remained imprisoned there. Its development up to 3500 metres has favoured the creation of large glaciers along the highest valleys and plateaus over time.
Hiking in the mountains at the foot of the glaciers is an unforgettable experience: all along the route there are forests of fir and beech trees, green pastures, glacial lakes, clear streams and spectacular waterfalls. It is precisely from the Adamello and Presanella glaciers that the waterways that form the spectacular Nardis and Lares waterfalls of Val Genova descend.

STRENGTH:

The Carè Alto dominates, from its 3463 meters, the Valle di S.Valentino and that of Borzago.
