The municipality of Pieve di Bono-Prezzo was established on 1 January 2016 when the municipalities of Pieve di Bono and Prezzo were merged.
The little village of Prezzo enjoys a sun-kissed, panoramic position, scattered across the eastern slopes of Dos Alt (1,291 m) and Monte Melino (1422 m) on the road towards the Boniprati plateau. Its white houses are often framed by climbing vines of uva fraga, or “strawberry-grape”, in the shade of leafy walnut trees. The village was entirely rebuilt following the devastation caused by the Great War. Visitors can’t miss the medieval parish church dedicated to S. Giacomo.
The picturesque area of Zeprio offers a way up to the meadows of Monte Melino, Dos Alt and Cima Cleve as well as the Boniprati zone (1,157 m), where there is a stunning plateau surrounded by greenery: the ideal place for those who love mountains, walks in nature, Alpine flowers and mushrooms. In winter, it also has a cross-country trail and excellent ski mountaineering routes.
