A marvelous loop of intermediate difficulty through Val Brenta and Vallesinella, two valleys running through the heart of the Brenta Dolomites and past the stunning Cascate di Mezzo (middle falls).
The itinerary runs along snow trails and forestry roads and through forests of European silver fir, interspersed with clearings and alpine farmhouses, alongside crystal-clear streams to a stunning clearing at Malga Brenta Bassa. Here, there is a breathtaking view of the Dolomites and the west face of Crozzon di Brenta overlooking the valley. The highest point of the outing is at the Vallesinella Cascata di Mezzo, which freezes in winter and makes for some truly thrilling ice climbing.
