Trail n. 3 Ritorto - Strada di Ritorto - snowshoeing itinerary

An enjoyable stroll through a coniferous forest to Malga Ritorto, where there is an exceptional view of the Brenta Dolomites.
An easy outing for the whole family, this itinerary is entirely on packed snow and is mostly flat as it winds through a stunning, tall forest of fir and larch. The landscape changes near the malga (a mountain farmhouse) as the forest gives way to mugo pine and pastureland. The panorama from Malga Ritorto is exceptional as you look out over the Brenta Dolomites mountain range. The view is especially stunning at dusk, when the setting sun colors the rocky spires pink. Thanks to its orientation, this is a particularly great spot to enjoy many hours of sun, from early morning till late into the afternoon. The restaurant and café here is an excellent place to enjoy a hot beverage or local alpine delicacies.
Be sure to bring a camera. Two refreshment points are available along the way: the Patascoss refuge at the start, and the Malga Ritorto upon arrival.
