Visiting Val Benolina means immersing yourself in an oasis of peace, where every step brings you closer to nature and the unspoilt beauty of the mountains.
The hike starts in the hamlet of Coradure, which is easy to reach by car or bike from the village of Roncone. From the very moment you set foot in the forest, surrounded by giant fir trees, you'll be struck by how peaceful and quiet this place is. You can visit the valley from May to October, these are the months when nature reveals itself in all its splendour. From Coradure you reach the village of Larèt, where you have to leave the forest road (which is only accessible by car with a special permit issued by the municipality). Take an old mule track into the forest. After about a hundred metres, it turns into a path that leads to a meadow. Just follow the path to the top of Val Benolina, where a small hut made of wood and sheet metal, known as "Bait de Balda", is a welcome sight for hikers. From here, it is a short and easy walk to Bocca di Benolina, but it is well worth the effort, as the view of Val d'Arnò below and the rocky peaks of the Adamello, with the vertical walls of the Brenta Dolomites in the background, is truly breathtaking.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
Back in the village of Roncone, you can choose whether you want to venture into Val di Bondone or in the direction of Val di Breguzzo.
