This is one of the most modern livestock facilities in the area: the barn is flanked by a milking room, which in turn is hydraulically connected to the processing sector.
The La Cugna farm was born in 2015 from the passion of Luca Radoani handed down to him by his uncle Giulio since he was a child. Starting from a very small and traditional company, Luca wanted to add innovation to his passion while maintaining a strong bond with his territory and continuing with traditional dairy art. The company is located in Borgo Chiese, more precisely in Condino, in the middle of the greenery bordered by a country road.
Our company exclusively raises Rendena cows and is the only one in the Valle del Chiese. The milk produced is entirely processed inside the company's mini-dairy factory and the cheeses, butter and ricotta sold at our point of sale.
In summer, our animals are taken to the pasture and at this time of year we vary our production with cheeses and malga butter, thus offering niche products that are sought after and that enhance our work, aimed at maintaining our mountains and the well-being of our animals who enjoy the freshness of the high mountains for three months of the year.
STRENGTH:
Our goal, in addition to preserving an endangered breed, is also to take care of our territory. In fact, we cultivate about 25 hectares of land necessary to meet the company's fodder needs with a stable lawn.
