Small sacred building, erected in 1720.
The small sacred building, erected in 1720 on the initiative of the Counts Lodron and restored in the mid-1900s, stands on a rocky spur on the slopes of the town of Riccomassimo. The façade is simple and with two slopes, with an architraved portal flanked by two centred monophores and a circular summit eye. The interior, with a single hall, preserves an interesting altarpiece on which the Count Carlo Ferdinando Lodron, who commissioned the work in 1727, is portrayed. Frescoes from the 1800s decorate the vaults of the nave and presbytery. A small jewel of rural sacred art, pride of the local community of Riccomassimo.
POINT OF INTEREST:
There are frescoes dating back to 1800.
