The chalet has 9 bedrooms, and with the exception of one kid’s room, every bedroom is ensuite. The bathrooms are new and understated, in stone and wood. All have showers except the master suite ‘Aquila’, which has bath and shower and a private terrace opening out in complete privacy over the forest and mountain stream below. Most of the double rooms have twin mattresses that enable the beds to be separated if need be.
Part of what makes Chalet Doss so special is the layout of the property. With bedrooms located across four floors, it guarantees privacy and space for a giant throng of guests, who can decide to gather together or retreat to their own private spaces whenever they wish. Warm duvets and soft pillows complete the dream.
Each bedroom has its own twist, curtains are from Scotland, mattresses and bedding of the highest quality. No tvs in these rooms, this is elemental simplicity at its best, where sleep is treasured, and the only sound one hears at night is the rushing river and perhaps the rustling of a badger or owl outside.
