This trio of glacial lakes is set in a wild and high-impact setting. They are between 2050 and 2200 metres.
Located in front of the southern branch of Brenta, the lakes of Valbona are the perfect example of the wildest nature, typical of high-altitude destinations. The three small bodies of water of glacial origin - Lower Valbona (2,046 metres above sea level), Middle Valbona and Upper Valbona, located approximately 150 metres higher – can be reached on foot from Zeller, where you can park. The route develops first through a forest road that leads to Malga Cengledino (1,667 m), then along a path that leads to Bait dei Cacciatori and finally along a steep ridge to the first of the three lakes. The middle Valbona and the upper Valbona are another 20 minutes' walk away.
