Place of Memories
The great War in Valle del Chiese was above all a conflict of position. The defense system of the Austro-Hungarian Empire was opposed by the line of the Italian militias. A track made up of buildings located in strategic points, of structures used to control the territory or to support the troops. In Le Plaze, there are long stretches of trenches dug by the Italian army and covered with stone walls, a hypogeal environment, once used as a deposit, and a tank for collecting water. A place to visit protected by the fragrant leaves of a majestic and silent forest, adorned by a solemn but sober monument to the fallen.
