Agrone is a district of the municipality of Pieve di Bono, which became Pieve di Bono-Prezzo on 1 January 2016.
The town is nestled between the “del Caffaro” state highway and the river Adanà. It’s a little village packed into a small area, in whose little alleyways an ancient medieval atmosphere remains intact despite the destruction caused by the war, which took a heavy toll on the surrounding area. Above the street that winds its way between the houses of Agrone is the hamlet of Frugone, particularly known for having been the seat of the "Concilio", or council, of the community of Pieve di Bono in the past.
