The municipality of Valdaone was established on 1 January 2015 when the municipalities of Bersone, Daone and Praso were merged.
This is one of the oldest villages in Giudicarie (an Etruscan helmet and a fragment of a stone axe have been found here), situated in a sheltered location at the edge of the vine-growing zone, in an area rich in chestnut trees. It sits at the entrance to the valley of the same name, which winds its way to the slopes of the Adamello Group, in an immensely picturesque setting. The many waterfalls nearby turn into “walls of crystal” in winter, forming a race track for practitioners of ice-climbing.
