Por is a district of the municipality of Pieve di Bono, which became Pieve di Bono-Prezzo on 1 January 2016.
A little village nestled on the slopes of Monte Nozzolo, offering a panoramic view of Lake Idro, the Pieve di Bono basin and the Brenta Dolomites. Fort Carriola, perched on a rise on the eastern edge of the valley, was built in 1910 to provide a connection to Valle di Ledro.
As one of the last fortresses built in Trentino, it featured all the most recent technological developments, including the plentiful use of reinforced concrete with girders 50 cm high. The fort was blown up at the end of the war to recover iron from it, as a result of which it is in much poorer conditions than the other two forts which still exist. Nonetheless, it remains of immense interest due to its architectural structure and the splendour of the natural environment around it.
