Belvedere Malga Baite Boniprati Path

Belvedere Malga Baite Boniprati Path title=

Easy excursion, suitable for families, which allow hikers admire the Boniprati plateau and the surrounding mountains while they are crossing forests and pastures.

A suitable excursion for families who like to try a fairly short outings, along with slightly difficult and stimulating features, deep in nature and in the mid-mountain landscape. Surrounded by wide fields, full of flowers in late spring and early summer, often settled by groups of grazing cows, the path crosses beech woods, wonderful places especially when the leaves get the warm autumn colours. The route covers some short and steep old mule tracks that leads to the pastures of Malga Baite, the highest point of the journey. Pay attention to the signal, located in the meadows of Malga Baite, which invites to turn slightly from the main route to visit the remains of fort Belvedere, an underground fortification facing the Val di Daone, built by the Italian army during the First World War.

Gorgeus view from the Malga Baite grassland. Pay attention (and do not touch!) to the electric wires used to confine the grazing areas.
