The suggestive Castel Romano, in the Giudicarie valleys, can be reached via the interesting Botanical Trail up the short rise to the ruins of the fortified manor house. This trail is the result of an interesting project by the local authorities of Pieve di Bono, much appreciated by trekking and nature enthusiasts and families.
Along the way there are numerous markers with a description of the various plants and providing general information on local history.
