Lake Ritort - Malga Valchestria - Malga Ritort tour

Lake Ritort Malga Valchestria Malga Ritort Tour title=

A high-altitude outing of intermediate difficulty and with an enchanting view of the Brenta Dolomites, from Lake Ritort to Malga Valchestria and down to the characteristic Malga Ritort.
A particularly panoramic, highly enjoyable outing. From Lake Ritort (altitude: 2,055 m / 6,740 ft), which can be reached easily from the arrival of the 5 Laghi gondola lift, take the up-and-down trail to the remnants of Malga della Pozza dei Garzoni. From here, continue on to Pian dei Mughi along a trail with a breathtaking view of the Brenta Dolomites through a stunning setting in which you may very well encounter chamois and other mountain goats. The pasture lands around Malga Val Chestria (altitude: 1,858 m / 6,095 ft) make an ideal spot for a relaxing picnic before the return trip along the same trail until the fork in the road to Malga Ritort. There is also a variant from Valchestia to S.A. di Mavignola past the Clemp farmhouses, thereby avoiding a return to Malga Ritort.
A pleasant outing for the whole family in a setting populated by chamois and other mountain goats. Ideal destination for a picnic.
