The equipped SOSAT path leads into the heart of the Dolomiti di Brenta through one of the most visited and spectacular via ferratas of the Bocchette route.
The SOSAT is one of the best-known via ferratas of the Dolomiti di Brenta. A classic route with low technical difficulties but requiring experience on equipped paths especially due to the exposure, the verticality of some sections, and some unequipped passages.
The via ferrata takes 3-4 hours to complete but, when calculating total time, it is necessary to consider the long approach and return (another 3-5 hours).
The route, created in 1961, originated as a connector between the Rifugi Alimonta and Maria e Alberto ai Brentei and the Rifugi Tuckett and Sella passing along the panoramic ledges below the Punte di Campiglio.
Despite the high attendance and the scarcity of high technical difficulties, the length and exposure of the route require adequate experience and training.
