A challenging climb through the heart of the Dolomites and past some of Brenta’s most famous alpine shelters: Rifugio Casinei, Rifugio Maria e Alberto ai Brentei, and Rifugio Alimonta.
The most challenging variant of the traditional route of alpine shelters all the way to Rifugio Alimonta and Conca degli Sfulmini, one of the Brenta Dolomites’ most stunning amphitheaters of rock. Situated atop a rocky, lunar plateau, the shelter, the highest of all the Brenta Dolomites’ shelters, is the central point of the Via delle Bocchette beneath Vedretta degli Sfulmini and about 40 minutes from Bocca d’Armi. This constant, challenging climb offers an amazing view of the Adamello-Presanella group that makes all the effort well worth it.
