Seventh stage of the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek that from Rifugio Agostini leads to Rifugio Tosa Pedrotti.
Rifugio Pedrotti is located at 2491 m on a wide saddle between Cima Brenta Bassa and Croz del Rifugio. Rifugio Tosa is slightly lower on a small terrace at the foot of Croz del Rifugio at 2439 m. Situated at the center of the Dolomiti di Brenta, close to Bocca di Brenta which constitutes the "historic" pass of the group crossed already in 1864, these two huts make an exceptional base to explore the Brenta, as they allow access both to the wild southern part and to the famous routes - including the "Bocchette" - of the central part.
Rifugio Tosa was the first built by S.A.T., established in 1881 as a small hut with a single room. Today it is connected to the nearby Rifugio Pedrotti, built in the early 1900s by the Bremen section of D.u.Oe.A.V. on land owned by S.A.T.. After a long legal dispute resolved in 1914, this latter hut became the property of S.A.T..
