Between 1861 and 1863, the new church of Sant'Andrea in Breguzzo was built.
The new cult building is larger and more centrally located than the old church, from which it takes its name, as well as some valuable palettes including two magnificent canvases by Joseph Heinz the Younger (17th century).
Facing north, it is located next to the road that crosses the Chiese valley and leads to Val Rendena.
The rectangular plan, with a major longitudinal axis, preserves valuable wall paintings made in 1946 by the painter Adolfo Mattielli, while the monumental façade, in neo-Romanesque style, is characterised by the decorated door, the large rose window and two statues placed on the slopes.
