A cozy mountain house in the wildest heart of the Brenta Dolomites.
In the mid-sixties, Ezio Alimonta and his father Gilio, both mountain guides, were descending from the peaks of Brenta when - at the foot of the Vedretta degli Slightmini - they looked at each other and said: it would take a refuge, up here, to give a roof to mountaineers as close as possible to these mountains. They chose the right place, in one of the most majestic settings of Brenta and a few years later - it was 1968 - the Alimonta Refuge was inaugurated, which still today, after a series of extensions, is managed by the family of mountaineers whose name it bears.
This refuge is a fundamental point of support for the Via delle Bocchette, very close to the rock, where it is easy to dream of being a mountaineer.
STRENGTH:
Good mountain cuisine, cleanliness and care in welcoming all mountaineers.
