The little church of San Giovanni.
The small church of S.Giovanni, built in 1893 to replace an ancient church, stands along the state road for Trento at Km 2 from the town, in a rural location. The façade is a hut. The interior has a single nave ending in the apse that houses, in place of the ancient stolen altarpiece, a ceramic work by Don Luciano Carnessali.
In ancient times Saone and S.Giovanni were towns with the name of Saone Superiore and Saone Inferiore and depended respectively on the municipalities of Bleggio Superiore and Bleggio Inferiore. Of the lower Saone, only the church and some ancient farmhouses remained, almost abandoned.
STRENGTH:
The location is secluded and quiet.
