La Via delle Valli

La Via Delle Valli title=

50 Alpine valleys, 50 itineraries between Madonna di Campiglio and Lake Idro, “for discovery, for self-discovery”

From the Brenta Dolomites to the Adamello glaciers, there are more than 50 Alpine valleys where you can lose and find yourself every day.

A journey of discovery

La Via delle Valli is one big “Via”, or route, consisting of 50 valleys, a path to be walked over days, months, seasons or even years.

A journey that, following the traditional German concept of Wandern, is an exploration of body and soul through which us humans, by observing and discovering the world around us, discover ourselves. “For discovery, for self-discovery”: connecting with nature and centring our thoughts.

Among the 50 itineraries you will find some great classics along with numerous off-route proposals, places already known or to be discovered for the first time, choosing between routes of different lengths and difficulties.

The 50 valleys selected and mapped are signposted at the trailhead and end with signs containing a code and a stamp to be validated with your credential (digital or otherwise), where each journey is recorded.

The mountains, even the best known, can be an opportunity for new explorations, perhaps on our doorstep, or on the other side of the world, where we have never looked before.

The itineraries will be available from June 2025 in gpx format on the website campigliodolomiti.it and on the outdooractive.com platform.

Every valley holds a soul

Journeying from valley to valley, the discovery takes on various souls, which speak of nature, art, taste, emotion and adventure. Begin exploring with the soul that speaks to you the most:

  • The NATURE of discovery
  • The ART of discovery
  • The TASTE of discovery
  • THE EMOTION of discovery
  • The ADVENTURE of discovery

What the Ambassadors have to say

The valleys tell unique stories. The Ambassadors of La Via delle Valli tell us the story of the soul of “their” valley. Embark on your discovery: let’s hear from the people who experience these valleys every day. Those who were born there, work there, or returned there.

How does it work?

The guide

Pick up the printed guide at our information offices, a genuine roadbook with maps and route descriptions that will guide you “from valley to valley”. Available from July 2025.

Credentials

Like any self-respecting trail, you can record the valleys you have explored on your credential.
There are two types of credentials: a classic paper one, for those who are not a fan of the technological invasion, and a digital one, which is very useful if you cannot (or do not wish to) physically collect the paper one. At the end of your walk, you will obtain the “Valley Passport”.

THE PAPER CREDENTIAL
Validate each valley travelled by stamping the “traveller’s notebook” with the special stamps you will find at the bottom of each valley. You can pick up a notebook from our offices: you will receive a nice surprise together with an explanation of how the stamps work.
THE DIGITAL CREDENTIAL
Record your adventures online by creating your credential on the website, before you leave, or by scanning the QR code you will find at the end of the valleys. You can then access your personal credential and check your results at any time.
