The first news of the ancient church of Sant'Andrea dates back to the 13th century.
After being remodeled in 1350, it was the subject, in 1531, of a last intervention appreciable in its current form. The building, with a single nave and vaulted ceilings, has been stripped of the decorative furniture now kept at the New Church of Sant'Andrea in Breguzzo and the Diocesan Museum of Trento. Fully restored at the beginning of the 21st century, it preserves valuable frescoes from different periods (15th-19th centuries) on some walls. The building has now become a lively cultural centre where important musical events and exhibitions are held. Between 1861 and 1863, a new cult building was built, larger and more centrally located than the old church, of which he inherited the title as well as some valuable palettes including two magnificent canvases by Joseph Heinz the Younger (17th century). Facing north, it is located next to the road that crosses the Chiese valley and leads to Val Rendena. The rectangular plan, with a major longitudinal axis, preserves valuable wall paintings made in 1946 by the painter Adolfo Mattielli, while the monumental façade, in neo-Romanesque style, is characterised by the decorated door, the large rose window and two statues placed on the slopes.
